Our own Brian Lehrer makes an (audio) cameo in this video of a bicyclist trying to prove a point about bike lane obstructions. Here’s the original segment, more from Transportation Nation, and for what it’s worth, here’s the rule about riding in NYC bike lanes:

  • Bicycle riders must use bike path/lane, if provided, except for access, safety, turns, etc. 
  • Other vehicles shall not drive on or across bike lanes except for access, safety, turns, etc. 
  • Bicyclists may use either side of a 40-foot wide one-way roadway.
